Vita Canis Style to Rescue supports eight dog rescue organisations. Our next charity event is on 24th April 2022. Together we can help!

The rescue organisations that will benefit from Style To Rescue 2022 include:

Many Tears Animal Rescue

Poodles from Portugal

Wheels to Paws UK

Doodle Aid

Hessa’s Homeless Hounds

Petwelfare Stafford

Scottish Terrier Emergency Rescue (STECs)

Underdog International

The intention of this competition is to recognize the groomer’s ability to take whatever grooming job comes their way. And create a clean, well-groomed dog using rescue dogs from shelters. The groomer will use his or her grooming expertise while handling these dogs with compassion.

We hope that the rescue dogs will benefit in every way from the grooming experience. And our ultimate goal is for them to find their new forever family.

Our priority throughout the day is the health and well-being of the rescue dogs.

We have a strict list of criteria to which the groomers must adhere in order to remain in the competition. Stewards and the judges will ensure that these are met. These include creating, as much as possible, a stress-free environment for the dog being groomed. And always grooming to suit the dog’s coat condition and conformation. Each groomer will have time with their allocated dog, preparing it for the grooming. During this time they can get to know each other and bond. There will be a maximum of 30 entrants per session. Bathing times are staggered reducing the number of dogs on the tables at any point in a session.

In addition, we have a number of 100% natural calming products that groomers can use to help the dogs relax.

It is also our desire that every rescue organisation benefits from this event. Not only financially (prizes and raffle) but also through increased publicity. Style to Rescue is run on a not-for-profit basis by volunteers.

What People Say...

Hi Jitka, I contacted you about your Skin Relief Spray and your Hand Butter about a week ago as my 89-year-old mum suffers from terribly itchy skin. We’ve tried almost every skin product from the usual chemists and have resorted to antihistamines after checking they are okay with mums other atrial fibrillation tabs.

Unfortunately, these can cause nose bleeds so a new remedy was required. We’ve been using the Vita Canis Soothing Antiseptic Spray for thee days and her back is no longer driving her mad with itching. The Hand Butter has been applied to her feet with the same excellent results. We will continue using the spray and butter and I will give you another update next week but things are looking promising.
