My Favourite Vita Canis Products

December 12th, 2021

One can work for a company and not be fun of their products. But that’s not my case. My answer is all around my house, as it’s full of my favourite Vita Canis products.

You can find Soothing Antiseptic Spray, Skin Relief, and Insect Repelling Citrus Spray in my kitchen fridge. Soothing Antiseptic spray is very convenient when I cut myself while cooking.
Last summer, I used Skin Relief on my son when he had some insect bites on his arm, and he couldn’t stop scratching. Within seconds of applying it, he forgot all about the insect bite.

I have one jar of Hand Butter in my backpack and another jar upstairs in my bedroom. I also have a jar at work in my drawer to look after my hands regularly, especially in this cold winter.
I simply can’t get enough of this good stuff as it smells divine!
Then I have a big bottle of Calming Floral Spray in my bedroom; I sometimes use it as an air freshener before I go to sleep. As it makes me more relaxed.

Let’s go back to my kitchen; I have a big pink Pawprint Oil Burner on the windowsill. I used to use it with our scented stones, but as we don’t sell them anymore, I had to come up with something else I could use it with.
Since we had no scented stones, I experimented with essential oils, inspired by the Aromatherapy for Dog Groomers e-guide.
Currently, I am testing & happily using Jitka’s new wax melts. They are pretty amazing, and I’m happy to be one of the guineapigs. Don’t I have a great job??

Do I gift Vita Canis products?

Yes, I like to gift Vita Canis products to my family and friends. I will always gift a jar of Paw Butter to my daughter and my son-in-law Paul, who have three doggies: Ella, Molly, and Thea. They do lots of walks with them, so they always need some for their paws and noses.
Then one jar of Paw Butter will go to my friend Donna for her horses, the other to Veronika for her dog Tapka.

I also like to gift our oil burners because they are just so beautiful and practical. It is a pity that we will be finishing selling them due to Brexit. I will be buying a few just to stock up, so I have some original presents when I need them. Once they have gone, they have gone.

What are Jitka’s favourite Vita Canis products?

While writing this blog, I asked Jitka: Do you have a favourite Vita Canis product? She replied that she loves all her products, but her top two must be Calming Floral Spray as she is never too far away from one. And then Skin relief Shampoo, because of the amazing stories she is receiving. And just like me, she can’t be without her Hand Butter. Would the wax melts be her next favourite?

And what is your favourite Vita Canis product?

What People Say...

When we got home from the hospital with our new arrival it was clear that Perri, one of our miniature poodles, maternal instincts kicked in and went into overdrive. She was immediately acting like a mother separated from her pups and just wanted to care for the ‘naked puppy’. She has a history of being so motherly, even to the point that she has produced milk for puppies that aren’t hers even before she had a litter and has mothered every type of animal she could. She was panting, pacing and unable to relax for long at all. She could whine for England!

We tried other herbal remedies we had at hand for a previous anxious dog and nothing worked at all. She stopped eating and stressed herself into overheating too. Her stress was starting to impact the other dogs and she just couldn’t unwind. No matter if we worked off her energy with a walk and she wasn’t even interested in her usual mind games or call games. We also couldn’t offer long-lasting treats and chews too often as they gave her an upset stomach.

As soon as the Calming Floral Spray arrived I gave the bed a spritz and put some on her coat and the change was instant. She just got on her bed and fell asleep. She stopped panting and barely whines now, started eating again and she only does a bit of whining if the baby cries. We have now been able to positively reinforce her calm behaviour. I honestly can’t recommend this enough to people.
